Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16, 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and popular comedians. The comedian appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. After appearing in bit parts in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea began her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. She was already regularly appearing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. In 2012, after she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) in 2012, she began appearing often in various panel shows. In 2016 and 2017, she was the team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born to Brian O'Sullivan and his wife, she was blessed with one sister named Sinead. She was in 2012 the second female to win the So You Believe That You're Funny award. Bea was presented with the award to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born March 16, 1984 in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who took his own life when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how her father died until after she turned thirteen. The stage name Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea as well as her older sister Sinead was raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. The family was awed by racing, horses and the racing industry. Bea was a guide for The Irish National Stud in her early years. However, she knew that it wasn't what she wanted to be for a living and that she was more interested in doing.
